The Old Coach House




The award-winning Old Coach House is an 18th-century former coaching inn, with views of the Avoca Valley, is 3km from the Village of Avoca close to Avoca Handweavers, Ireland's oldest working handweaving mill with a shop and a cafe.

Rooms with en-suite bathrooms have antique-style furnishings, wooden floors, and country decor. All rooms include TVs, complimentary Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making equipment. Some rooms have exposed stone walls.

Included in your stay is a superb, cooked breakfast is served in a classic dining room featuring a wood-burning stove. In the evening relax and unwind in the elegantly furnished drawing room with its original open fireplace and turf fire. The room has a library of books, magazines, games for your enjoyment. The 2-acre garden has picnic tables, tree swings and roaming chickens.


The Old Coach House is located a few minutes’ walk from the “Meeting of the Waters”, immortalised by the poet Thomas Moore. Wicklow is a paradise of the great outdoors, enjoy the scenery and many activities that Wicklow has to offer then return and relax by the open fire.
